Registered Nurse – Gynaecology Outpatient Services

- 0.8FTE (32 hours a week), Permanent Role
- Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm or 8:30am – 5pm

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered
Nurse who has a passion for women’s health.
In this role you will work closely with other nursing staff
and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be part of a team who is highly
motivated to provide an excellent standard of care that is patient centric, and
that is designed to reduce inequity and meet the needs of our community.
About the Service
Gynaecology Outpatient Services covers a broad range of clinics and services to support the Gynaecology Service and women’s health in Canterbury.
The successful applicant will be orientated and trained to
all three Gynaecology Outpatient areas including the Gynaecology Procedure
Unit, Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy Unit and the Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics.
The diverse and broad range of procedures and clinics makes this an exciting
opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop and grow their gynaecology
knowledge and skills.
There may also be an opportunity to work in the Gynaecology Ward/Gynaecology Assessment Unit if this is an area of interest.
About you
Gynaecology experience would be an advantage; however, the
successful candidate will be supported through an individualised orientation
specific to their knowledge base to ensure successful ability to perform the
role to a high standard.
- 3+ years of experience in Gynaecology and/or Women’s Health
- Has a passion for Women’s Health and have a comprehensive understanding of the health inequities that exist in women’s health
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Motivated, adaptable, flexible, and solution focussed
- Excellent time management skills
- Work well in a team as well as autonomously
- Preferably competent in venepuncture and cannulation (although not essential)
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
