Registered Nurse - Gynaecology Ward and Assessment Unit

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team, working across our Gynaecology Ward and Gynaecology Assessment Unit (GAU).

About the Service
The Gynaecology Service here at
Christchurch Women's Hospital is a world class facility that delivers excellent
healthcare to women. We are a 27-bed ward, specialising in gynaecology medical
and surgical, early pregnancy and our Gynaecology Oncology Surgical Service
which not only covers women in Canterbury, but also the whole of the South
Island and the lower North Island.
We also have a 5-bed Gynaecology Assessment Unit (GAU) for both
acute and planned admissions for both Gynaecology and early pregnancy; as well
as a Miscarriage Management Clinic (MMC) nurse led clinic.
About You
We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to work as part of our multidisciplinary team providing all facets of care to women.
You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively complete tasks, whilst working collaboratively as part of a team.
Your effective interpersonal
and communication skills coupled with being able to work in an empathetic
non-judgemental manner, will be imperative to your success in this role.
Skills and experience:
- Ideally you will have experience working in Women’s Health or with a passion for Women's Health.
- At least 1 year's experience working in gynaecology, surgical, or acute ward setting is preferred.
- Obstetrics experience welcome.
- Ability to work a rotating roster including both week days and weekends, all shifts.
- Registered
with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing
Certificate (APC).
