Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

- Positions available between – 0.6FTE to 0.9FTE (24 to 36 hours a week), Permanent role
- 0.9FTE (36 hours a week), Fixed term role till February 2026 due to Parental Leave

About the Role
We are looking for Registered Nurses who are interested in a career in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and who are committed to providing quality care to our ICU patients. We have a diverse patient group and provide care for a variety of diagnoses in both adults and children requiring intensive care, including those following cardio thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal and trauma.
Shifts are 12 hours (8 hours during orientation) Day (6:40am start) and Night (6:40pm start), Monday to Sunday.
About the Service
Our Intensive Care Unit is a tertiary level 3 ICU based in the Waipapa building and currently resourced for 25 beds. We are a multidisciplinary team who see over 1,800 patients annually.

About you
We are looking for experienced ICU Nurses to join our team. You will be organised, intuitive, quick thinking, have excellent communicate and are a team player who thrives in challenging environments.
- Intensive Care Unit experience
- Ability to work all shifts – Day and Night across Monday to Sunday
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
- Motivated, shows initiative and is a flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
