Registered Nurse - Medical Day Unit

About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Day Unit where you will be an integral part of our dedicated multidisciplinary team, and passionate about delivering high quality nursing care to our patients. 

Shifts are rostered between Monday and Friday with start times of 7:30am, 8:30am and 9:30am.

About the Service

The Medical Day Unit specialises in the care and support of medical patients referred from a variety of internal medicine specialities. These include Haematology, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Neurology, Rheumatology and Primary Care. While the unit is primarily now an infusion centre we also provide pre and post care for some of our patients who are having a small range of procedures. It is a fast-paced unit, so the ability to manage pressure is essential.

About You

You will have the demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals. With excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills, you will have the ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.

  • Committed to providing a consistently high standard of patient care.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday and selected Public Holidays
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
  • Motivated, shows initiative and is a flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
