Registered Nurse - Older Persons Outpatients

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Registered Nurses in Burwood Outpatients to work in the Older Persons Health team. You will utilise your nursing knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective clinical assessment in the outpatient setting.
The Older Persons Outpatient department is part of Burwood outpatient service and provides services to patients predominantly over 65 years of age including Bone Health and Older Persons Mental Health Specialists. It also provides the infusion service for Bone Health in nurse- led clinics. The team is located on the first floor at Burwood Hospital.
About you
We have a 0.6FTE permanent position available.
You will be working with older persons with a range of health comorbidities.
As a Registered Nurse working in this environment you’ll ideally have, recent older persons health and mental health experience in an outpatient setting. Previous cannulation experience and current certification preferred.
Excellent organisational, assessment and interpersonal skills, confidence, flexibility, sound coordination, time management and computer skills including SIPICS are essential to this role.
You will need the ability to organise and prioritise a workload and be able to work effectively in a flexible environment within a team. We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic, motivated, and who can engage a wide variety of people including whanau and community agencies in face to face and phone settings.
The successful candidate would need to be available Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays.
