Registered Nurse - Oncology and Gastroenterology Ward B5


  • Permanent 0.9 FTE part time position 
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and hold a current APC at the time of appointment

Mō te tūnga | About the role

Based in Waipapa, Ward B5 is a 32 bed combined oncology and gastroenterology ward. We are looking for an adventurous nurse who is ready to take up a new challenge and eager to develop a broad range of skills in both of these specialty areas. 

Ko wai koe | About You

This role will see you working as part of a well-established collaborative team. Previous experience in oncology or gastroenterology specialties is desirable, however the successful candidates will be provided with an extensive orientation programme.

  • Motivated and flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills 
  • Required to work full rotating rostered shifts to cover service needs
  • Previous clinical experience in oncology or gastroenterology is preferred
