Registered Nurse - Oncology and Gastroenterology


  • Ward B5, Waipapa Hospital, Christchurch
  • 3 x 0.8FTE (32 hours a week) permanent positions available
  • Rotating Roster – Monday to Sunday – Morning, Afternoons and Nights

About the Role

We are looking for 3 enthusiastic Registered Nurses who are ready to take up a new challenge and eager to develop a broad range of skills. This role will see you working as part of a well-established collaborative team.

Previous experience in oncology or gastroenterology specialties is desirable; however the successful candidates will be provided with an extensive orientation programme.

About the Service

Ward B5 is a 32-bed combined oncology and gastroenterology ward.

About You

  • Previous clinical experience in oncology or gastroenterology is preferred
  • Ability to work full rotating rostered shifts to cover service needs
  • Motivated and flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills 
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
