Registered Nurse - Oncology Outpatients

About the Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to come join
the team where you will be an integral part of our dedicated multidisciplinary
team, and passionate about delivering high quality nursing care to our
patients.
You would undertake a variety of roles across the care
trajectory of both radiation and medical oncology patients. These roles include
assessment and symptom management of patients undergoing chemotherapy and
radiation, administering chemotherapy and conducting patient education. Our
Oncology service has a large senior group thus opportunities for career
development into the future.
Shifts are Monday to Friday, with a range of shifts -
0730-1600, 0830-1700 and 0930-1800

About the Service
Our Oncology Service based in Christchurch Hospital is the largest provider of oncology services in the South Island. We are leaders in clinical practice and research at the forefront of clinical developments and quality models of care.
About you
We are looking for a team player with an easy communication
style and sense of humour.
Ideally you will have astute independent assessment and
clinical decision-making ability.
- Oncology or Haematology experience
- Fixed Term role - Acute experience and/or chemotherapy/haematology experience - desirable but not necessary for the right candidate
- Ability to work Monday to Friday
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
- Motivated, shows initiative and is a flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
