Registered Nurse - Paediatric Outpatient Department


  • Fixed term covering parental leave to April 2024
  • Part time 0.4FTE working Thursday and Friday
  • Experience working with Tamariki (Children)

Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Paediatric Day Ward is operational Monday to Friday 0800-1630.  We are a small cohesive team who look after Tamariki aged 0-16 years of age.  Any procedure that doesn’t require an inpatient admission is done in the Day Ward, for example dressings, CVAD access and cares, infusions including blood products and monoclonal antibodies, immunisations, venepuncture, and sedated procedures.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has experience working with tamariki, and who will work collaboratively and effectively in our small team. 

You will have:

  • A passion to engage with and provide holistic care for tamariki and their whanau (family).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confidence, initiative and a proactive, solution focused approach to work.
  • Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate
