Registered Nurse - Radiology

About the Role
The Radiology Service is based at Christchurch Hospital and Burwood Hospital and our nurses work across both sites.
At the Radiology Service we pride ourselves in keeping up with technology and we have a wealth of experience that we want to share.
Shifts are Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts (Roster to be discussed at interview stage).
On call shifts 1800 - 0800 weekdays and 0800 Saturday until 0800 Monday once Interventional Radiology (IR) trained.
About the Service
Our service is divided into
specialised areas including CT, Ultrasound Biopsies, MRI, and Interventional
Radiology at Christchurch Hospital and MRI, CT and Fluoroscopy at Burwood
Hospital.
About You
We can offer you diversity in your workday and the opportunity to expand your nursing skills and knowledge within a range of specialties within the radiology service.
- Preferred Interventional Radiology experience and/or Theatre experience.
- Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) at proficient level or above
- Previous acute nursing experience
- Motivated, with a mature attitude and organised approach, you will be flexible and adaptable in this ever changing, fast paced environment.
- You will be an IV cannulator
- Ability to work rostered shifts in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Passion to learn and expand your knowledge in this area of nursing
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
