About the Role
Our team at Waikari Hospital are seeking a Registered Nurse to join us on a casual contract.
In this role you will deliver excellent nursing care as a sole charge practitioner to a variety of patients and will be involved with aged care, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care.
Our service operates across Monday to Sunday and shifts will be offered to you when we require cover for on call, annual leave and sick leave.
About the Service
Waikari Hospital is located in Waikari Village, approximately one hour drive north of Christchurch on State Highway 1 and inland from Waipara.
The hospital is set in beautiful grounds overlooking the Alps. Waikari Hospital meets the needs of the local community as well as covering a large rural district including continuing care of the elderly, general medical, surgical rehabilitation, carer support, respite care and palliative care.
We have 10 beds and are a team of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Cooks, Activities Coordinators and Maintenance/Gardeners.
About You
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
- Aged - care experience desirable
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Has an empathetic and caring nature
- Good time management skills
- Based within commuting distance to Waikari Hospital
