Ward 18, Acute Orthopaedics - Registered Nurse

Ward 18 is a 30 bed Acute Orthopaedic ward with a team that prides itself in its delivery of excellence in nursing care.

We are seeking enthusiastic, natural team player’s with excellent communication skills and a passion for orthopaedic nursing.  As one of two acute orthopaedic wards based at Christchurch Hospital it will provide you with an excellent opportunity to extend your surgical knowledge.  

Join us and work with a team of experienced clinical and support staff who work together and pride themselves on delivering a consistently high standard of care for our patients. In return we can offer you an exciting and challenging multidisciplinary environment with a Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist to help support and develop our valued nursing staff ensuring they obtain the exciting opportunities acute orthopaedic nursing has to offer. 

Recent acute surgical or medical experience is preferred for this position.

Working:

  • Rostered shifts to suit service requirements
  • We have full-time & part-time options available

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and APC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
  • Recent acute surgical or medical experience is preferred for this position.
