Registered Nurses - Flex Care
- 6 Month Fixed Term – Winter Flex Role
- Full and Part Time Positions available
- Shifts – Monday to Sunday, Morning, Afternoon and Nights
About the Role
We are seeking Registered Nurses to support a 6-month Winter Flex initiative, working in the Flex Care Waipapa Ward and Discharge Lounge.
This will be in the former Medical Assessment area which will be temporarily repurposed as an inpatient ward and discharge lounge to increase bed capacity. This role will play a key part in supporting patient flow, enabling timely movement from the Emergency Department to inpatient beds, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
You will be caring for acute medical patients and those preparing to leave hospital.
About the Service
Flex care Waipapa will support the consolidation of medical patients into cohesive care streams, improving operational efficiency and reducing pressure on the Emergency Department.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team focused on delivering responsive, patient-centred care during a critical period for the organisation.
About You
- Medical or Surgical experience is essential
- Availability to work rotating roster shifts across Monday to Sunday
- Proven clinical assessment and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrates excellent time management and ability to work within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of people
- Flexible and adaptable – comfortable working in a dynamic, high-demand environment
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
