About the Role
As a Respiratory Medicine Medical Specialist at Christchurch Hospital, you will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient respiratory care as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering services across Canterbury. This role includes participation in acute and planned care, outpatient clinics, and involvement in subspecialty respiratory interests aligned to your expertise.
Working 0.4 FTE, this permanent position offers flexibility and balance while remaining clinically engaged in a busy tertiary setting. You will have opportunities to contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching of junior medical staff, while working alongside experienced and supportive colleagues.

The Respiratory Medicine Service at Christchurch Hospital is a well-respected tertiary service providing comprehensive respiratory care to the Canterbury region. The team works closely with intensive care, oncology, thoracic surgery, and allied health services.

About You
As a Respiratory Medicine Medical Specialist, you will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
- Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality respiratory medicine services
- A collaborative approach and commitment to multidisciplinary care
