Security Operations Administrator

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Security Operations Administrator to join our Security Team, providing vital administration and coordination support to help maintain a safe and secure environment across Canterbury and West Coast Health NZ facilities.
This role is at the heart of ensuring our security systems, processes, and reporting run smoothly, enabling our teams to protect our people, patients, and property.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 5/Profile 5D

Key Responsibilities
- Support the ID Badging Office/Access Control Administrator
- Oversee the Lost and Found Property process in line with policy
- Manage security incident reporting, entering relevant events into the Safety 1st database
- Maintain the security asset register
- Coordinate monthly duress alarm testing
- Manage all CCTV requests in line with release policy
- Maintain and produce reports from the Security Incident SharePoint database
- Coordinate fault reporting, repair, and testing for Access Control and CCTV systems
- Generate reports such as alarm logs, cardholder activity, and door access activity
- Maintain the Security Team’s intranet page
- Identify service improvements and help implement new processes
- Liaise with Project Teams and contractors to set up, configure, and test Gallagher access points, access groups, and door settings
- Configure Milestone XProtect camera locations and viewing groups
- Update intranet sites to support customer self-service pathways
- Carry out purchasing and receipting activities
- Assist managers with requisition processes and internal financial recoveries
- Help maintain emergency planning, business continuity, and H&S equipment
About you
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of Gallagher Access Control and Milestone CCTV systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Basic financial management knowledge
- Experience in administrative or coordination roles supporting multiple teams/stakeholders
