Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping healthcare services? Christchurch Hospital is seeking a dynamic and driven Service Manager to join our team.
About the Role
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management of designated healthcare services, working closely with clinical and operational leaders to ensure high-quality patient care and service excellence. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and support service teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Oversee operational and strategic planning to drive efficiency.
• Manage budgets, business planning, and financial performance.
• Ensure service quality, risk management, and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Develop and implement service improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical leaders and healthcare providers.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call management roster.
What You’ll Bring
• A tertiary qualification in healthcare or business management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management and leadership experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting and strategic planning.
• Proven ability to build relationships, lead high-performing teams, and influence key stakeholders.
• A commitment to cultural responsiveness, ensuring equitable healthcare outcomes for all, including Māori communities.
