Support Worker | Buller

- Permanent part time working 32 hours per week

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with the Coordinator and Nurse to provide safe, high-quality services that respect the dignity, culture, and independence of our clients. You will play an essential role in helping people maintain their independence, participate actively in daily life, and receive the respectful care they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Coordinator about rostering, sickness, training, and availability
- Deliver care and support under the direction of a registered health professional
- Provide culturally safe, respectful, and client-centred support
- Encourage and assist clients to maximise their independence in daily activities
- Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies
- Participate in ongoing training and skills development
- Use technology to meet administrative and communication needs
- Perform other relevant duties as agreed with your manager
About you
Essential:
- Hold (or be willing to undertake) a Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, with the ability to progress to Level 3 or 4 over time (supported by the Clinical Lead)
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Be competent with Microsoft applications and similar software
Desired:
- Previous experience as a caregiver in the community, hospital, or aged care facility
