Training Development Coordinator
- Anaesthetic Technician/ RNAA – Training Development Co-ordinator (TDC)

We are actively seeking a dedicated and Qualified Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA to join us as a Training Development Co-ordinator. This role is pivotal to providing expert orientation and educational support to AUT students and RNAA programme team members, whilst also being involved in the ongoing professional development and education of the existing AT and RNAA team!

Key Responsibilities include:
- Support ongoing student development, education, and competency maintenance
- Facilitate teaching, tertiary education requirements, and clinical skill development
- Maintain and review competency frameworks, education resources, and training records
- Support students to meet educational, organisational, and shape their professional growth
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and improvement opportunities
- Promote a culture of learning, safety, and continuous professional development
About You
We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA with a passion for clinical education and coaching. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide tailored guidance, with a commitment to supporting the training pathways development of AUT BHsc students and RNAA Programme team members, ensuring they are confident, competent and well integrated into our team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback to learners
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Passion for education, mentoring, and professional development
- Collaborative team player who supports continuity of education during leave
- Minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification experience; clinical education or supervision experience desirable
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including experience applying Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare
- Postgraduate study in education/adult learning advantageous
- Registered with the relevant professional body and holds a current APC
