The Team:What we do
The Department of Vascular Endovascular and Transplant Surgery (VETS) provides the vascular and endovascular services for the population of Canterbury and the West Coast, and tertiary services for complex open and endovascular surgery and renal transplantation for the South Island.
The Role:Where you fit it
We are looking for a Registrar or Junior Consultant who is seeking a role specifically designed to provide them with the full range of clinical experiences and training in Vascular Surgery. The role can be tailored for more open or endovascular work as required and provides an excellent opportunity to advance either open or endovascular skills.
For the advanced trainee/junior consultant the role provides access to advanced open and endovascular techniques from arch to toe. For more junior trainees, the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a recognised training unit for future specialist training applications.
An honorary appointment as Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago Medical School is also available for the right appointee.
The successful candidate is required to have:
- Qualifications recognized for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
- FRACS, FRCS desirable or Experience in vascular surgery
- A great team ethic and enthusiasm to learn
