About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Wheelchair/Mobility Technician within our Mobility Services team. This is a permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week).
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, frames and other equipment. You will provide technical assistance where required and have basic to intermediate computer skills for this role.
You will work in a small team with varied work duties and have patient satisfaction at the forefront of what you do. This team is part of the wider Allied Health Team at the Christchurch Hospital campus.

About You
You will ideally come from a mechanical and maintenance background but don’t necessarily need a qualification in the area.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have sound technical and problem-solving skills
- Be efficient and know how to prioritize your work
- Have good time management skills
- Have the ability to work independently
- Be thorough with attention to detail
