About the role
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated New Zealand Registered Dietitian to provide effective, evidence-based dietetic services to our tatāngata whaiora and their whānau! This is a varied opportunity across both inpatient and outpatient services – working within the Specialist Mental Health Service, Hillmorton Hospital.
About You
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and diagnosing nutrition-related conditions;
- Formulating and implementing appropriate nutrition treatment plans;
- Evaluating treatment outcomes and modifying treatment according to changing needs;
- Promoting health practices and providing education to tatāngata whaiora, whānau and carers.
Skills and Experience
- Be a New Zealand Registered Dietitian, a dietitian prescriber with a current Annual Practising Certificate;
- A minimum of 1 years’ post-qualification experience;
- Previous experience working in a mental health setting and/or working with eating disorders is advantageous;
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of patients, whānau and multidisciplinary teams;
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently and reliably.
