About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Dietitian to contribute to a key foodservice project within a hospital environment. As a Project Dietitian, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a comprehensive food services recipe and menu database that supports high-quality, safe and nutritionally appropriate care.

Working closely with project stakeholders, you will support planning and delivery of project milestones, build and maintain accurate recipe and ingredient databases (including allergen and nutrition information) and contribute to the implementation of new food service technology.

You will also analyse and monitor menus to ensure they meet nutrition and foodservice standards, facilitate workshops with stakeholders and provide training and guidance to staff to ensure consistency and quality across the service.

About the Service

You will be part of Commercial Support Services, a team dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality and efficient foodservices that meet the nutritional needs of patients during their hospital stay.

The service works collaboratively across the organisation, supporting innovation, continuous improvement and alignment with strategic priorities. The team plays a vital role in enhancing patient care through nutrition with a strong focus on wellbeing, quality, and customer experience.

About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented Dietitian with a passion for improving foodservice systems and patient outcomes. You bring strong organisational skills and enjoy working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

You will have:

  • NZ Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practising Certificate and hospital experience
  • Experience (or strong interest) in foodservice systems, menu development, and nutritional analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with data accuracy and database management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and train stakeholders
  • The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a project environment
  • A commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and improving outcomes for Māori
