About the Role

The Infusion Unit Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering and planning intravenous infusion treatments for patients with Cancer Diagnoses and other conditions.

The key deliverables are:

  • Provides management of infusion therapy in collaboration with Te Whatu Ora local & external Consultant Specialists.
  • Provides management of infusion therapy in collaboration with Oncology CNS staff.
  • Oversees the safe delivery of infusion unit services to the West Coast patients.
  • Provides leadership and development skills and knowledge on types of specialized medication infusion therapy.
  • Works across the organization to deliver quality education and support that is patient focused and promotes and supports self- management.

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient - centred care. You will bring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to your practice.

You will ideally have:

  • Be registered with the Nursing Council of NZ as a comprehensive or General Nurse who holds a current practising certificate.
  • Registered Nurse with minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience.
  • Is willing to work towards a relevant Post-Graduate Diploma.
  • Displays a high degree of confidence, assertiveness, and motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent personal organizational skills.
  • Has achieved and maintains competency in MIV and CVAD Management.
  • Has completed or willing to complete EVIQ appropriate learning.
  • Has completed or willing to complete SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment) training.
  • Has completed or willing to complete Core Immediate training.
  • Has completed or willing to complete Mosaiq training.
